:''Not to be confused with the Swedish/Czech depressive black metal band that featured Kim Carlsson'' Life is Pain is a German rock band from Forchheim, Upper Franconia. ==History== Life is Pain was founded in Feucht in 1999. Torsten Fende joined the band as a singer after jamming with the already assembled rest of the band. They found their name by accident, as the first drummer of the band, Markus Herold, was known for saying it: "Life is pain!" After having played just one show, the five musicians went into the studio in 2000 to record the first EP ''Slap in the Face''. The same year also brought a change to the band. Guitarist Sven Euerl left the band, followed by bassist Jens Kussat in 2001. Torsten Fende took over the job as a guitarist, while still being the band's lead singer, while Marcus Palmreuther, also known as Palmi, joined them as their new bassist. A few gigs and one year later the remaining four band members hit the studio again to work on their second, self-titled EP. The following year brought along some success for the band as they won the Local Music Run, a contest by a German youth foundation, in Erlangen-Höchstadt.〔(Hall of Fame of Local Music Run )〕 The prize was a €1000 recording bonus. They took this money to go on yet another stint into the recording studio. At the Tinitus Studio in Nuremberg the recorder their last EP up until now, ''Harvest What You Sow'' in 2004. Shortly after finishing recording, drummer and founding member Markus Herold left the band and was replaced by Ralph Stephan. Over the next few years Life is Pain played a few shows before vanishing for a while. Another new drummer in 2012, Stefan Grimm, brought new life to the band. Following their Comeback at Junges Theater in their hometown of Forchheim, they played a highly praised show at Forchheim's Altstadtfest which was coming along with an article in a big German newspaper, Fränkischer Tag.〔(German article by Fränkischer Tag about Life is Pain at inFranken.de )〕 During their work on their first full length album the band encountered differences they could not overcome. On April 16, 2013, Life is Pain announced on their Facebook that they had split up after 14 years.〔(Life is Pain split up note )〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Life Is Pain」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
